Cloned Harddrive, Now What?
« on: January 22, 2008, 02:16:00 AM »

Hi there.

I recently bought an softmodded xbox, so I'm pretty new to the xbox scene. The guy I bought it from couldn't tell me how it was softmodded (I think he just tinkered around). I've seen a 007 save game, so I think it's a game exploit.

Read lots of topics about upgrading the harddrive, so I bought a 250gb Seagate and gave it a try.

I used xboxhdm 1.9 to make an iso out of my original (softmodded) drive, but no luck. I just kept getting a 'virgin state' xbox.

Finally I cloned my original softmodded hd (i'm a pro in unlocking/locking by now), and it WORKED! But I logically got a second "10gb formatted" drive.

Now my question: what's the best method to partition and format the rest of the free harddrive space?

Thanx in advance

I did some more reading and I think my problem can be solved with XBPartitioner, wich can be found in Slayers Evox package (for example).

I'll give that a try when I'm home and post the progress I've made (for those who are interested).

Cheers

Finally found XBpartitioner, and that did the trick within 25 seconds.
System works great now.

I guess the copy I made off my original C disk, was a shadow copy?
