Display Problems With Softmod

First off, forgive me if this is in the wrong forum.  I used the Splinter Cell exploit to softmod my Xbox.  

The issue I'm running into is that my emulators will no longer display in higher resolution video modes such as 1080i.  They're set properly on the official MS dash, but when I try to switch the video mode within the emulators (any xPort emulator), it tells me that I have no selected 1080i (or any higher resolution, for that matter) as a valid choice in my Xbox Dashboard.

The thing is, I used to have a solderless chip installed, but it kept coming unseated and it was just a pain for me to open the Xbox over and over to reset it.  I decided to just softmod the system to spare myself the hassle.  Now the video modes that used to work fine with the chip don't seem to work with the softmod.

I'm probably just missing something simple, but if anyone can help a noob out, I'd appreciate it.  

Oh, I used the SID 4.0 exploit with an NTSC copy of Splinter Cell, by the way.
