« on: December 12, 2007, 02:20:00 AM »

hey so i have a chipped xbox which is running fine, and my roomate got a new xbox (well old one lol) and i softmodded it just fine, everything is working swell, but he wasnts his old computer 40 gig drive in it to store a couple games, so i got XBOX HDM and made the iso, burnt it, put his 40 g drive in, put all the files on and such, but i cant lock it again? no matter what i do, i get error 6 when i lock it with my computer? i tried putting the hdd in my chipped box and it worked fine like how i had it set up, so i locked in on that xbox, put it back in his, bam, didnt work, so i put it back, unlocked it, tried it in the computer again "locked" it and put it back in his xbox and still nothing.

i'm getting frusterated since ive been doing it all day, any help would greatly be appreciated

and yes i have HIS eeprom on the disc and all the files from his harddrive, but it just wont lock?

thanks

error 6 means it's lokcked but with the wrong key. Are you absolutely sure you used the right eeprom?
When you locked it with your chipped xbox did you edit the eeprom beforehand?
