Hello,
i recently purchaed a 25ft crossover cable to be able to connect to xbox though ftp,
im using flashfxp and a roadrunner modem. i dont have a updated dashboard either just the msdash
everytime i try to do a softmod using splintercell and action replay saves i keep getting a error 21 screen.
any help is greatly appreciated.

Where did you get the save game file from? A number of the ones that are available through Action Replay's online section don't actually work.

alot of them from code junkies like you stated,
i also have the files from Krayzie Ndure Installer and SID 4.0 Nknave

neither one works, im using action replay considering its the only memory card i have and own.

alot of them just goes to a blank black screen while other produce a error 21 screen.

any info on where to get the correct files is greatly appreciated.

Hey thanks for the link,
I dont wanna take the xbox apart unless i have to, but the way its looking though i might have to.
I have a copy of Mik3h ms dash
it is possible to unrar and extract the file -> ms-dash-mik3h.rar
and burn it on a cd-rw and boot it from the xbox?

also how could i ftp into my xbox if i dont have a modified dash?
is there any way possible?

one other question does splinter cell softmods produce alot of blank black screens when trying to install linux?

Not used splinter cell to do the softmod, I usually just use mech assault. I have never had a black screen going to linux with it. If you are using the offical files from krayzie's installer you should be fine (from xbins).

Did you get through any of it at all the first time you tried it, I am wondering if maybe you started part of the exploit and then something went wrong. Have had that happen to me once but gave error 16 which did require me to take the xbox apart and hotswap the drive, but once an up to date working msdash was back on it the softmod worked fine.

i dont have anything to do the softmod with besides splinter cell.
i got krayzies installer from some website i dont remember which one,

with one my light was staying orange and another time it was flashing red,
i never got any error excpet error 21 screen or a black screen.
i got mik3h 5960 dash but i was curious i burned it to a Verbatim dvd-r and tried to get it to read but it didnt work, i opened everything in ms-c folder and burned the folders from there,
should i burn it as adata dvd or a raw image file?
and whats the best software to use to burn it.

btw i dl files from xbins today but i didnt know there was a limit,
i got banned for trying to dl all folders,
i really had to idea honest considering it was my 1st time at xbins.

Doh .. though to be honest it is rather explicit. Never mind .. I think first offence they only ban you for a day or so.

I strongly suspect you got a dodgy installer (why they even bother posting them is beyond me, it isn't like they can do much with them). I have never been able to get a burnt iso to boot except under an xbox that is already modded.

And if your burning you need to convert it to a format the xbox can read, you can do this under nero (http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/nero6-files.php), or just use xiso to create a burnable iso.

yeah i had no idea about xbins,
I've seen alot of corrupted files from diff servers off the web etc.

i just got done fixing my pc to be able to accept the xbox now i gotta take the xbox apart im gonna do that after i eat breakfast and take a quick shower then ill need your help in msn messenger thanks man!

Copy the gamesave from memory card to xbox harddrive and run it as in tutorial.
