Splinter Cell Exploit Advisable?
« on: November 11, 2007, 11:37:00 AM »

I have a Crystal Special edition PAL xbox that appears to be a 1.6 from the dates and serial (I can't confirm since i don't have the tools to open it) and I want to softmod it. I have read up on the various exploits but i don't have a copy of 007: AUF or mechassault. I do have splinter cell though but is the clock loop bug common enough to make me worry about screwing my xbox up?

I'd also like to know is it possible to make a male+female usb breakthrough cable that still works with my xbox and pc without any soldering since i find it mentions you need to solder the wires together in every guide i've read (which is every one i could find) but i can't get a soldering iorn and can't trust myself to solder without screwing up the cable (and i don't know where i'd get a new or spare breakaway cable from here in the uk).

Use Krayzies Ndure Installer, this dont have a clock loop problem.
Read this gude http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=628431

And for the soldering thing, it is not necessary, just make sure the pealed cables are making proper contact and not touching each other, you can use electric tape.

Also note that you can not hook a USB stick and a controller in the same port/cable. so you will be needing another controller to use the xbox wile the memory is connected in other controller port
