prefer to keep the LED to system default. Green is default and there is a default setting in xbmc witch is you guessed it green.

The bios on the chip has probably ben configured for yellow..  Softmods can configure that to, but that happens in a place that would cease to have an effect when you install a chip..

For all you're concerned with, a flashed tsop is basically a chip..  Softmods set the font in either the fonts, or nkpatcher unless its only a dash setting..  A chip can't boot either the fonts or nkpatcher..  If its not a dash setting, then it must be programmed into the bios on the chip..  But your color changes after bootup, so it must be xbmc..

If you used my ndure 1.0 installer the led is defaulted to orange for the hacked bios and green for the retail bios.
in my 1.1 package you can set the led color (inside the bios) to any color you want.

What bios is on your tsop?  If you're currently hardmodded then I doubt krayzies softmod would have any effect since hacked bioses on the tsop typically freeze if you try to launch a softmod..  The softmod can exist on the same drive independant and dormant though, but since it would only be sitting there, it wouldn't affect the LED..  I would expect youtr xbmc is booting from a different location than e:\dasboard\default.xbe which is where the softmod dash is stored, but regardless, even if your hacked bios is configured to boot the same dash file, it wouldn't launch the fonts or nkpatcher the softmod loads before the dash, and its in those that softmods can affect the LED (aside from in dash settings)..  XBMC has alot of settings, and indicators that use LED color..  Perhaps fan speed, temperature etc, etc, are overriding your defaults..  There are alot of threads about xbmc LED confusion..

uhm yeah if you have tsop flashed xbox you should stay away from softmods.
If your xbox was completely stock before you installed my installer then you could just use the upgrade kit to upgrade the 1.1 save to 1.1.1 and then put that on your xbox. It's important to first completely remove the 1.0 save from the xbox first and then transfer the 1.1.1 save

if you choose the remove option you would have to erase the save afterwards before copying the new save.

but yeah you could do it that way. if the 1.0 softmod worked so will the 1.1.
You still need to choose the further customize option in the extras to set the led though.

What text appears under the XLogo?  I'd be curious to know if your tsop was actually flashed, and not just prepared to be flashed..  It really sounds like you're running a stock bios..

to flash a tsop you need a softmod of some kind first. if it says microsoft then it might be a retail bios on the tsop or an evox bios. the tsopp bios always boots first and is later patched by the softmod.

Is it just more of a fluke that it happen to accept both the TSOP flash and a softmod together since it was said that it is not a good idea to have both?
NO it's just that the bios is very old, most likely
a original MS bios that has been lighty modified, if NKPatcher works then it's OK to use
you will probably need the softmod if you use a large HDD > 137 GIG
if you have evox as a app and have used it will save the bios MD5 sum in the .ini
CODE
Current        = 0xf20cd7574bb4b2a69810b2e9f766a90d
and can be used to identify the bios using any search engine " 0xf20cd7574bb4b2a69810b2e9f766a90d "

You do have evoxdash.xbe..  Its in your installer's directory in E:\Ydata\...\evoxdash.xbe depending on what game you used..  Its ini won't be set up adequately to use it as a dash as-is, but you can still get the bios hash from it..

I think you meant Udata as there is no Ydata, guessing was a typo.  Does anyone have any information on the Bios Retail 5838.01?
