Xbox Unmodding Itself

It sounds like you're using an outdated mod that doesn't have a shadow C configuration or something. What it sounds like is happening, is that games are updating the dashboard on boot...which of course will replace the hacked dashboards on older softmods, or update the dashboards to versions incompatible with the softmod exploits.

One thing to try might be to use NDURE this time which has a shadow C configuration instead of whatever you're using now.

It would help if you told what soft mod your useing like sid crazie ect... Sounds to me like you forgot  to go back and softmod it .Just because u have the save game files on your xbox does not mean you have the soft mod installed.Or could just be a hard drive problem try a format when you get the softmod back running.

I'd recommend a better softmod. Try using Ndure. Sid has flaws and stuff.
