It won't nuke the softmod, however it may nuke the exploit gamesave (never used AUF...I used SC for the exploit, so correct me if I'm wrong), so I wouldn't recommend doing it. However, if you are going to do it...make sure you have a copy of the EEPROM on your PC and preferably an XboxHDM image with your current  C and E drives and your EEPROM on it in case you need to fix something, since the gamesave won't be available anymore.
