Have you tried deleting your Xbox's cache?

The cache is everything inside 'E:\CACHE', and in the 'X', 'Y', and 'Z' drives.

I think it acts like a page file, so when the system ram (64mb on the xbox) is full it writes data to these folders to keep the flow up. It's slow if it comes directly from the disc.
