- it is only dangerous if you do stupid things and use unsafe softmods.
- all three games do exactly the same although it might be easier to get splinter cell since all version of that game work
- xbox version doesn't matter
- action replay is nt necesarily needed. there are more ways to softmod

Yes, or you could make your own female USB adapter and a USB drive.

BTW... Is it true I can play burned games?

Sure, just need the mod working so you can network the Xbox to grab the files off the orignal disc and create the backup.

So, I cant play a burned game without a PC-Xbox connection?

you can't MAKE a backup without a PC-Xbox connection.

do some more basic reading. Newbie chat Pinned topics, backup forums Pinned topics, etc.

If you're nervous don't do it cuz you will probably mess stuff up and panic and then make things even more bad. Softmodding is not for the faintharted. You're better of letting someone else do it for you

okay then quit the whining and start educating yourself. And before you post a question spend some time searching first.

Hey tnine, congrats on your softmod!

I'm a total n00b to this also, could you post what tutorials and files that you used (within the limits of the rules: ie: I don't need to know where/how you got them).  I'm interested in doing this soon, although I've got a lot of reading to do.

What did you find the most helpful?  How long did it take?

BTW the xbox I'll be modding is a K 5838  D5960  if that helps...

Thanks..

J.

Ya, I have it downloaded, but I'm still trying to get it to my box without ftp...

put it in krayzies extras and burn it to a disc, and put it in your console, it should install as an app or dash (whichever folder you put it in)
