L1 Resistor (or Whatever It Is)

okay the L1 resistor came off when i was tryin to solder a wire there for the aladdin chip: diagram

Now the xbox boots fine but it shuts down after like 5 minutes... I really need some help.

Bumping every three hours... thats cool... especially when it was still on the 2nd page 20 minutes ago....

edit: I decided to be helpful.... go to radioshack and but a 10k ohm resistor and solder it in its place

Im really not in the mood for thread crapping... it only had 3 views and 2 were my own.... I need to get this xbox fixed its not even mine so you should understand the concern I have.

hehe well you know how there is 1 solder point on each side of the resistor? wel I think one of the points came up w/ it heh.

Hmmm, well you could prepare the points with a dab of solder and test the points the a multimeter when it boots up.  Seems like if you did that, you'd be able to tell if it's fixable, yes?

isnt the L1 point just for the LEDs? or what else is it for? is this cause enough for the xbox to turn off after 5 minutes?

Also on my personal xbox every application I try to open freezes on the evox loading screen... any idea there?

well, i don't know but that's all that happened, i'm sure there's more importance that just leds.

alright cool thanks for all the help man. I am wondering if the reason the xbox was turning off was because I was just using power (no av) and it was asking for the time and date. Does your xbox auto shut off after leaving it at that screen for a while?
