Bios Problem On A Soft Modded Xbox
« on: November 29, 2006, 11:17:00 PM »

Hello,
Softmodded using XboxHDM and Krazie's NDURE with XBMC dash with a 200GB HDD.
Everything is good.  However, instead of 200GB, i only see around 130GB from all the partitions together.
I checked my BIOS version and it said: "BIOS : Please add MD5 from xbmc.log to BiosIDs.ini"
Please find me, i'm at totally lost.

you need to enable G: in whatever dash your using, then you need to install EvoX either as an app or boot to it if you have it as your main dash.  Then,

Formatting G: drive Using FlashFXP
Use FlashFXP

How to use FlashFXP to format G: well very easy really just turn on Xbox (with EVOX)

(make sure in Evox setting you have Use G: to Yes )

If you don’t Have EVOX as a dash RUN it like a App (you Must
Be running EVOX to format G

then open FlashFXP connect to Xbox
ip: 192.168.x.xxx
user: Xbox
Pass: Xbox

bla bla bla =)

now go to Commands > Raw commands Or push ctrl+r

type this in

Formatpath \Device\Harddisk0\Partition7

Then FTP app will echo a hard drive key (later referred to as ‘the number’) (display a long number in a dialog box). Use that key for the next command

now type

FormatDrive ‘the number’

All done restart Xbox and All your Gigs will be there on G:

**Note**
you must download a EVOX skin that has G: on it to see free space on the Dash
you can look in Settings to see free space on G: as well to see if it worked
If you use Unleash X you need to set Use G: to Yes as well

I didn't write this, I had it saved in a text file.

XBMC doesn't detect the G drive if there are no files on it. Run a different dashboard (just as an app) like UnleashX, enable the G drive in that dash, format it if needed, and create a folder or file on G, anything will do. When you start XBMC again, it will detect the G drive.

You can ignore it as xbmc just dosn't recognize it. If you insist on showing your bios you need the md5 from you kernel ,add and define it in the ini file.
