I have a version 1.6 xbox and I am trying to do the softmod using Splinter Cell. I am using Softmod Installer Deluxe 3.1 and a USB device (256 mb). I transfered the files to the Xbox, loaded them into the Harddrive and was able to use Splinter Cell to initiate the exploit.
I got to the main window and backed all my stuff up. I then proceded to do a single boot NKPatcher softmod on the C: drive then installed EvoX Dashboard onto C: as well (stuff was backed up onto the E: drive). After I restart the Xbox, I get what looks like Error 21 (It has a number 21 in the upper corner and a "Call Cust Service etc...) although I am able to still load up a game and get into the exploit. there I am able to restore everything and after a restart, I can get back to the old MS Dashboard.
Am I doing anything wrong? I am following the SID 3.1 manual (which is a bit confusing when selecting softmods) and it doesnt seem to note said problem.
Any ideas? Alternatives? Thanks!
