Can you advise your xbox's kernel and dash version please?

Just realized your version is MS02307J so that's most likely a patched version and it seems this particular version shows a different behaviour of 'hanging' compared to earlier patches. Only MS02301L is known to be exploitable.

kernel and dash versions are irrelevant to loading gamesave exploits. I wasn't saying the problem lies in corruption. I just said the symptons look a lot like corrupted saves. I also mentioned it could be a patched version. Furthermore I live in Europe and have no acces nor experience in japanese game exploit. I just never heard of a japanese game that was not exploitable.

I'm still learning about softmods and don't claim that I know much. In fact, when I re-read the development threads on Ndure (or earlier ones like UDE,UDE2 or UXE) , I always get headaches on all the different combinations for XBL safety. So any of the developers who figured out all that in those days definitely knows a lot more on any given day.

Anyway it's obvious now yours is a patched Mechassault version so you either get another game - I recommend Splinter Cell (seems thats its exploit mechanism is not publicly known - at least I couldn't find anything and hence less likely of a patched game) or open up your console for xboxhdm+Ndure.

I agree posts like this are rare but here's at least one fella that made it work. http://forums.xbox-s...&...st&p=769285

I don't have time to search any further but I'm sure there are more.

xbox games are usually region locked and are not interchangeable.

I don't think any of the 3 work on both us/pal and asia. I guess he needs to find him a jap version but looking at dhalsims posts they are hard to find.

Darkmodem's post looked promising too, especially since it's less than a year old, but similarly no reply to my email through this site- I'd love to ask him since he indicates he has a working J disc.  Sending another email just in case.  I searched the yahoo auction site he mentions, there are no current mech assault game listings, only a demo DVD (demos of mech assault and other games it looks like from the cover) and and a "Perfect Guidebook" to the game.  That's a good site for auctions, it's like Japan's closest thing to ebay here.
