Batch Process Failure
« on: October 20, 2006, 11:07:00 AM »

I have a chipped xbox and an retail xbox that i am softmodding. The unchipped ran into errors while softmodding. After a succesful installl I accidentally crashed it, treid softmodding again and got the error:

Batch Process failed.
The last action was: .
Action rename

Now I tried it for my chipped xbox (removed the chip once @ the softmod screen) and I get the same failure. Anyone know what this means?

It's only one of 2 things:

1. You didn't backup the eeprom correctly, be sure to hit backup eeprom at the black screen to actually back it up. (hitting it in the blue screen will only boot you to the black to actually back it up)

2. You don't have a M$ 5960 dash installed.

The good news I tried again, this time before I rebooted I used the Xenium OS to lock the HD (chipped xbox). Then the ndure process continued and installed the shadow C (this is after approx 5 reboots trying other things. . amazing). Once the shadow C was in place I restarted and it worked like a charm.

One thing you were right about was the M$ dash - It worked before I removed the Xenium chip. . . on the onld set-up. . . how can I repair if I will not be using the Xenium chip?

The batch process must have been a problem with the HDD. I don't know much about locked/unlocked HD's but I may try again in the unchipped xbox, which I would rather not have to use MY chip in (someone else's box).
