Umm... Crap?

Not sure if this would work or not, but have you tried making a new drive using xboxhdm and the backup c and e drives you already have?  If you backed up your eeprom, I don't see why this wouldn't be worth a shot....

Good luck!

Im pretty sure you just messed up your softmod.  I believe all you have to do is download the slayers boot disk and pop that in.  I think it should work (at this point, it's worth a shot - right?)

You can find it on xbins.

Never use slayers with a softmod..Only for the apps and emus.

You need to rebuild the drive. Look into hotswapping with xboxhdm..
Unless you have eeprom then you wont have to hotswap.

Check out the links in my sig.

I deleted my dashs' off my harddrive once because a friend was trying to help me change something.  I didn't have the eeprom anymore, so he created an evox boot disc that booted to evox and allowed me to generate the eeprom backup and reinstall evox.

I assumed what it was was the slayers disk.  Sounds like what he needs is that disc I used.  Was quite helpful.

Yes it is helpful...For people who are chipped or know how to use it.

His xbox is softmodded and slayers most likely wont put the dash where it needs to be..

But he could try it and at least maybe  get his eeprom backed up.

Not useing slayers with a softmod is like newb rule #1 many people end up totally screwing there box with slayers. The worst is when they unlock there drive and then shut off the xbox.

If you FTPed your eeprom to your pc then you would know if you had eeprom.bin

Read the links in my saig..Checkout hotswapping and xboxhdm..

You can use hotswapping to unlock the xbox hd then in your pc you use xboxhdm to rebuild the hd.

But you should read up on it.

Its not as hard as it sounds..But you could screw it up if you miss 1 step.

It also doesn't run any back-up's anymore so I can't make an autoinstaller CD and do that

And CASH can be used for rebuilding the drive much safer than Slayers.  wink.gif
