Disabling Igr
« on: July 11, 2006, 06:22:00 PM »

I have been reading through the threads and it seems like the last time this was discussed was awhile ago.  I have a softmodded version 1.0 xbox with a Original 4034 bios and EvoX dash.  I wanted to know if there was anyway to disable  IGR because I can't play halo 2 or fight night at all anymore.  I know many people have said it was impossible but I was hoping someone could shine some light on this.  Thanks alot guys.

it's the BIOS doing IGR
turn off IGR or set it to a specific port using NKpatcher
or edit the BFM bios (PBL)

CODE
;;; In-Game Reset settings:
;;;
;;; IGR = Enable IGR code
;;;
;;; Button combinations:
;;;    * triggers+back+start
;;;    * triggers+back+black
;;;    * triggers+start+black
;;;
;;; IGR_TO_DASHBOARD = Reset to dashboard, not DVD. Changed button combos:
;;;    * triggers+back+start to dashboard
;;;    * triggers+back+black to dashboard
;;;    * triggers+start+black to first DVD, then dashboard
;;;
;;; IGR_FULL_REBOOT = Do a full reboot instead of the default quick reboot.
;;;                   Some games hang (Soul Calibur 2 during a match) with
;;;                   quick reboot.
;;;
;;; IGR_MASTER_PORT #port_number = Only allow IGR from pad port #port_number,
;;;                                where #port_number is 0-3 (0 the left-most
;;;                                port, 3 the right-most.)
;;;

%define IGR
%define IGR_TO_DASHBOARD
; %define IGR_FULL_REBOOT
; %define IGR_MASTER_PORT 0

Does this method remove the IGR that happens when you click in this button configuration:

Left Trigger + Right Trigger + Left Thumbstick + Right Thumbstick

If it does that will be great.  I'm just not sure exactly what file I should be editing.  My 4034 bios is in the E/BiosLD folder and is labeled xboxrom.bin but EVTool does not open this bios.  I also have no idea how to use NKpatcher on a system that is already loaded with Phoenix Bios Loader (MeToo Edition).

yes
xboxrom.bin, and it's HBtool (haven't used PBL in years)
you can change to NKpatcher if needed
it's best if you have a "working" gamesave to FTP the new files in

I could not find HBTool but I found XBTool and it won't allow me to open my bios file.  It keeps saying kernel extraction failed... Kinda sucks.

I solved the problem... I ended up using an x2 bfm bios and placed it in the BIOSLD folder and let Phoenix Bios Loader load that.  It works perfectly.  Thanks alot for your help.
