Donot buy M$ card, Sure it works , but AR card does the same work too, with more effort....
Chorizo is wrong. AR cards do work. That's how I did myn.

1) Download splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc
2) Xtract > Goto UDATA , Take one of the folders...
3)Add datelinfo.xbx into the 5553000c folder (X:\Udata\5553000c\datelinfo.xbx)
4) zip up the file
3) Delete the extracted folders but  not the 21585554 folder.
4)Create Folder named UDATA ... paste the previous(above) FOLDER .... Then copy Datelinfo.xbx into that folder.
5) ZIp it ... Send both the zips to AR card.
6)U will get Evox.... So this way u get FTP access ... Almost COMPLETE, send KRZY ndure .. install . done

HUh HUH sleeping.gif

Be sure 2 reply ... once this gets 2 work.

I tryed this and it didn't work my AR software on comp won't see the saves. could you help me?

OK.

(I'll tell it in form of directory structure.)

For simplicity and ease, Do this all in C:\ root

1) First Extract splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc.zip

2)  splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc contains FOLDERS 5553000c   &    21585554 under UDATA
foler.

2) Under  C:\splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc\UDATA\5553000c. Copy datelinfo.xbx to that folder

3) Now create new folder SC_FTP_NTSC or sumthin' like dat in C:\ root.

4) Create New udata in SC_FTP_NTSC folder.

4) Cut the folder 21585554 from C:\splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc\UDATA and  paste it into

    C:\SC_FTP_NTSC\UDATA.

5) copy Datelinfo.xbx into C:\SC_FTP_NTSC\UDATA\21585554 .

6) Zip up this folder .   > Shud be  SC_FTP_NTSC.zip

7) Zip up the first folder created in step 2. > SHUD BE splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc.zip

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK UNLESS THE FOLDER STRUCTURE IS LIKE THIS

when done extract to check the folder structure

1st folder   -   FOLDER NAME  folder name shudn't appear twice   >   UDATA   >  21585554

2nd folder  -   FOLDER NAME  folder name shudn't appear twice  >   UDATA   >  5553000c

U got to play with the zip's to get it into the above format(directory structure) or it simply doesn't get recognized in AR.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF Instructions are followed in the correct way, It shud work in the way it is supposed to!!

BE SURE TO REPLY, THE RESULT.

!!! HURRAY, DONE !!!

Ok, I followed your instructions exactly using a datelinfo.xbx from the orignal Splinter Cell save that came with the Action Replay. When I put those files on my action replay I got a screen like this (IMG:http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/1560/untitled7zr.th.png)

Then I copied the files on to my Xbox's HDD and loaded up Splinter Cell. I also made sure they were the only Splinter Cell or Linux files of any kind on my HDD. Then when Splinter Cell loaded I picked the Linux profile and
selected Checkpoints. About 2 seconds later I was greeted with an error 21 screen.

I really appreciate you trying to help me, but it just doesn;t seem to work for me and I don't know why. The Action Replay seems to work for other game saves, just not these.

Thanks again for all the help,

It shud be like this....

IPB Image

U made a mistake Somewhere......  wink.gif

Instead of being in PC database, It shud be in the mem card smile.gif

Actually one is the exploit launcher(smaller size - 8 blocks) & other the actual exploit (around 56 blocks).

Then u shud get FTP thru Evox.

So what datelindo.xbx did you use? The reason mine said SAM_Profile is because I used the Splinter Cell Power Save from the Action Replay to get it's datelinfo.xbx. Where should I be getting the datelinfo.xbx file? My files are the right size when they are in the PC database and when I initially copy them over. But once I copy them and unplug the memory card they change file sizes to 5 Blocks for the Linux_Profile and 52 blocks for the Linux installer. Is it supposed to change the file sizes? I think it has to do with the files folders or something, but thats just a guess. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the resposnses and the continued help,

I have been having the same problem with two xboxes that I am currently modding. I get an error 21 screen when I try to run the linux save in the game. When transfering the files to an already modded xbox the exploit does work and goes to the Evox screen, however if I were to copy the saved program to the madcatz memory card and then recopy it back to the modded xbox (after clearing the previous saved file) instead of going to the error 21 screen it goes to the hacked dashboard that previously was installed and not the Evox screen. It was suggested by a friend that the memory card is corrupting the files. If someone could clarify this it would be much appreciated.

As I sugg'ed before AR has no problem with small sized files around 700Kb 's... Which is Evox installer for SC.... THIS IS SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF GETTING FTP ACCESS to xbox, to later transfer better softmods installers like KRZY's ndure without ne problem of corruption.....

Donot spend $ on M$ mem cards. AR's are fine.

I am not using an AR memory card. I am using a madcatz memory card. I don't know if the card can not handle the size or if it is just corrupting the files. I am only using it to grant FTP access via evox installer so the file size should not be that big.

I have now bought a M$ memory card and have used it. On the modded xbox it now works and loads up to the evox dashboard from the SC load game however on both the unmodded xboxes it goes to an error 21 screen. Is it possible that both these xboxes are unmoddable and I have wasted all my time and effort? If someone could help me out or direct me to a thread with the solution it would be much appreciated.

I did a search on the version of the xboxes but they both came up as unknown. These xboxes were purchased 3 years ago. I have been trying to educate myself on the problem and it looks like the error 21 has something to do with the dashboard load up. I am lucky enough to have a modded Xbox to use as a check on everything. The madcatz memory card was corrupting the files but the M$ card is not. Now the reason I know the M$ card works is that the modded xbox will load to the evox dashboard through the splinter cell game. This also tells me that the game works for exploits. I think the problem has to do with the hack and possibly a signature problem on one of the files. I am currently working with a friend of mine to see if we can resolve the error 21 problem. I will keep you posted. As for the type of xbox being the problem it is highly unlikely because these two xboxes were bought 2 years apart and one was bought in California and the other in Toronto Canada. I hope it is not a coincidence because then I will have wasted all my time and effort.

other things:

1) some exploits need the M$ dash to be 5960

2) no other downloaded LIVE maps (like SC or MA maps)

3) make sure it is the only save for that game

What game were you using BTW?

We usually use the MA game but the version I have here is not exploitable so I have been using Splinter Cell. I will check the kernel and see if that is the problem.
