I decided to add a new HD tro my xbox.
I had soft modded my xbox with xbox media center. Then i installed Evox so i could unlock my HD. Well at this point i figured that i should ftp to my xbox but at the time i didnt have a router. So i put the drive into my pc but it would not read so i figured well i might have to unlock the drive first. This is how i got in my situation. I unlocked the HD and then Took the drive out and put it into my pc, my pc still didnt read the xbox HD. So now i said well let me put it back into the xbox and do the ftp thing. Well when i put the xboxHD back in my Xbox it said xbox needs service message on boot now. I tried booting from slayer, evox, xbhdm but no luck i need help recovering my Xbox HD please.!!!

few options:
1: if you have your eeprom backed up to your pc is it to lock the hd back again using xbox hdm
2: if you don't have the eeprom but you do remember backin it up using evox then you can use xboxhdm to browse your hd to look for it or your hdkey and use that to lock it again
3: if 1 and 2 aren't an option buy a chip to boot unlocked hd's

or do a TSOP flash to boot unlock hds. That would be the easiest thing, then you can use configmagic to lock it.

yes shouldn't really unlock hdd on xbox only using xbox hdm . also you wouldn't able to use the hdd on pc has it is in fatx format not fat32 or ntfs would need to use xboxhdm to format all fatx on hdd

ok i have lock my orginal xbox hd using xboxhd, but the way i locked it wasn't exactly how it says to do it.
but the main point is the drive is locked now. When i put it back into the xbox it wont boot i still get the service screen. Any suggestions?
