OK, so yesterday I got to the point where I restored MS dash, but going ino any
Live submenu, or Setting>>network would cause 21. See: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...=&#entry3405770
Then I tried Slayers, it installed but I got the same as
adam_t91 in "Help! Reinstall My Evox Dash On Softmodded Xbox!"

I could play original game (have not tried copied).
I tried many Slayers' option, reinstall/rebuild retail,
format retai and then install MS dash, the result was always the same:
Evox with only these 2 option available.
Finally, I think I deleted everything from HD, ftp'ed slayers' C drive from PC.
That got me to the original ms dash.

So went back to were I started 2 days ago: installation of
krayzie's endure with MA. That got me probably to the endure menu as if it was already installed
(the one where you have option to remove it etc, not the one with the install).
That was weired, I removed all game saves, cleaned drives, and finally got to the endure installation menu.
When I proceeded with the install.
I selected nkpatcher.06, "Evolution X dashbord"
this time(comparing to 2 days ago)  it did not even check for the eeprom backup, altough I performed one,
and I got back to the old:
FAILURE Batch process failed
The last item was: .
Action: rename
I cleaned everything again, ftp'ed slayers c, and this time I was able to proceed with endure installation.
So finally I got to where I wantad, but could someone please explaing what was happenning.

If you have an F drive with apps etc on it, will this be erased during this method or will it remain intact?

I have no idea, and honestly -- I'm not sure what method you meant.

so wen you say about rescue disk, that they must be stock files u cant use c and e off nother softmodded xbox or can u use another xbox, ftp into it and look 4 msdash off new game say and use that, wot im saying is the slayer thing the only place to get stock filles and are the the only files that work.
