Sorry, no can do. The only possibility for that would be the firmware hack, but it depends on how technically savvy you are..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Not true at all.

1st Install the softmod (should be Krayzies Ndure v1.1 and nothing else)

2nd upgrade the HD (don't go on live yet) (make sure the HD is lockable and never been on Live)

3rd get a new unbanned eeprom from the BST (about $8)

4th use Config Magic to overwrite the old eeprom with the new eeprom. CM will make you unlock the HD before doing this (so it can be locked to the new eeprom) and then after you overwrite the old eeprom you need to make sure you lock the drive before rebooting or it won't boot the unlocked HD)

In any case keep a copy of your eeprom on your PC

Nope nothing matters except if you try to play a backup online whetherr on the disc or HD, or if you try to modify a game and cheat (like H2). Other than that you'll be fine if you follow the above instructions. And I think Krayzies would block you from trying to take a backup online, so you'll be fine. *Note you can use the same gamertag as long as it hasn't been banned at all, if you were banned for a HD upgrade in the past, using that same gamertag will get you banned if you have anything other than a stock virgin HD.

If you have already setup your connection to Live before installing the softmod then just coldboot a game (open disc tray, insert Live game, close disc tray, boot xbox) and the coldboot will bypass the softmod.

If you did not setup a Live account/connection before installing the softmod then you can remove the softmod or (the easy route) install Krayzies Extras and use the option to set up a dual boot and setup the Live dash for the eject or however you want it. The Live dash will allow you to safely setup your connection to Live.

I tried coldbooting H2 and connecting to xbox live but it just said "error connecting to xbox live", am I doing something wrong?
