And have a few questions...
I used the Itools evox exploit for MW. Made a backup. Then used the xboxhdm util to create the new drive. All worked fine. Played a few games. Noticed tha my gamesaves are still available. Then with the understanding that all I needed was a locked HD, I connected my xbox to my network and started the xbox. I left for a bit and came back to a message that stated the XBOX Live could not be found. Which was really strange due to the fact that I hadn't transfered over my Live account. I then got thinking that I had manualy set my IP stuff in the drive swap and that it would need to be changed back to auto. Disconnected from Broadband. Then tried to access the settings for the Network through MS dashboard. I then get the little circle at the bottom which spins three times then locks (Along with the XBOX). Reboot...same thing. No error...nothing. Now I'm thinking that maybe I got banned an MS disabled my network stuff. So I swap back to my original drive and after changing my Network settings to Auto, I succesfully connect to Live. Played a game. Shut Off xbox. Came on Xbox-Scene for answers. All I can find are links saying that now Live checks your HD a EPROM and not to get onto Live with a new HD. Got the message! Not going to do it! But, now I am left with a bunch of nagging questions!
1st) Why can't I access my network settings?
2nd) Along with #2 Why does the Xbox lockup when it trys to access the network settings?
3rd) How long does it take MS to ban you? same momment? minutes? hours? days?
4th) I've heard talk about a gamertag being tagged... How do you tell if it's been tagged?
5th) Did my xbox w/ new HD actually connect to Live? I'm beginning to think that it didn't.
