I Need Ndure Tutorial
« on: May 02, 2006, 12:31:00 PM »

I am looking for tutorial that explains how to use Ndure softmod using action replay and game save (agent underfire). I couldn't find it here. I found a thread about softmod but it was written for users already familiar with softmodding. I don't know crap about it other than I have to put gamesave on hdd through action replay, and then load it with game. In other words, I need tutorial written for 5 year olds that explains how to do everything from A to Z. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Hi, I know the feeling you are having as I just recently softmodded using the Splinter Cell hack.  Once I did it, though, I realize why there aren't many tutorials.  It is pretty easy.

I assume you are planning on using Krazie's Ndure softmod installer for 007?  The steps you need to take are:
  1. Install the Action Replay software
  2. Download the installer from "the usual places."
  3. Put the files onto the Memory card using Action Replay
  4. On the XBox, delete the entire save section for 007 (this was necessary for SC, at least.)
  5. Copy the files from the memory card onto the XBox.
  6. Start 007.
  7. Load the save game (check the old tutorials pertaining to 007 saves; you don't need all of the info there, but it might have instructions on when/where/how to load the save exactly.)
  8. The installer will magically start and will take you step by step through the install process. (Thanks, Krazie!)
  9. You are done!
Really, it is that easy.  Good luck (but you won't need it. )

Thanks! Btw, does Ndure installer require any specific version of dashboard ? I have xbox manufactured in 2005. Is that good enough ?

Oh, and whats the difference between Krayzie_007_Ndure_Installer_v1.0.rar and Krayzie_007_Ndure_Installer_v1.1.rar ? Which version is to use ?

Yes!  Sorry I forgot about that.  You need to have the latest dashboard (5090?... you can find that info on here somewhere.)  The way I upgraded my dash was to borrow a copy of Halo 2 from a friend and let it upgrade when it says it needs to.

edit: I would assume that you want the latest version, so I'd use 1.1 if I were you.

5960

use 1.1

NOTE: AR Memory card sometimes corrupt the saves, and there is a specific way to load 007 -- mentioned in the read me.

you dont need dash 5960 to run the exploit kratzies ndure 1.1 gives you the option to install minium which does not require 5960
