I first tried the gamesave exploit with 007 - i tried about 15 dif linux files and they all brought me to the xbox needs service (green text w/ no 21 code error) screen and yet my xbox still works fine. When i try SID on 007 it just goes to a black screen with the xbox "open tray" LED as orange. The same thing happens when i try SID on splinter cell too. Green text again w/ splinter cell too or sometimes a blank screen w/ green light when not using SID. Traded splinter cell for mechassault the other day and same thing. orange LED and black screen w/ SID and when using dif. one than SID I get green text screen. Please help me, ive been trying to softmod for months. My xbox is older too if that makes a dif. It is from a little bit after it came out.

- none of the green text screens have code 21 error
- I followed tutorials (tried about 40 dif ones)
- SID = softmod installer deluxe (prob already know that)

Read the link in my sig. get a better installer and try one of the guides. also read the READ ME.txt that comes in the packages.

Have you tried Krayzies Ndure Installer?

is the easyest thing on earth.

you're using 007 right?

did you read the READ ME.txt that cam with the installer?

it did it with all 3 of the games but ill try that with 007.

EDIT: I got the ndure 1.1 off of xbins and when i drag the zipped UDATA to AR it says Error writing the save!

I tried formating the card on my comp and xbox and it wont go onto my AR mem card.

forget the edit, it went on. BUT - it didn't work. I started the game and then quit after the cutscene. Then i did load game it it still booted to a black screen.

by the way i dont have SC anymore, its what i traded in for MA. not sure if i said that earlier.

your ar card is corrupting the save. use an official ms card

For some reason they have a problem saving single large files. For instance the 4.75 MB file that the game save exploit uses.

It would be better to buy it. I got my org. SC for $7 at Gamecrazy(used of course). You might need it in the future, especially if you want to remove a newer softmod. Plus it can come in handy at some point. I would probably recommend getting the MA game, as it seems to be the best choice, SC you have to transfer 2 saves, with MA and 007 it's only 1 save.

I used a hacked usb cable and a scandisk flashdrive with the action replay software. There is a tutorial stickied. Worked fine. I spent $5 on the controller extension at best buy, and I had a usb cable laying around.
