hiya folks.. ive got my friends xbox that was softmodded with the linux profile using splinter cell.. now.. everything has been working fine up until.. now .. the xbox had unleashx dash on it.. normal games work but backed up copies dont work... no dash appears when i boot up the xbox all i get is Xbox is not responding please try again later... and i click ok and then it says xbox live is updating your system please dont turn off your xbox console.. then the error message appears.. i there anything i can do to make it go back to the normal unleash dash or stop it from lookinf for an update on xbox live.. any help or guidance is really appreciated as i dont know alot about xboxes..

Well, if you still have the gamesave on your box you can coldboot and then repair from the the camesave. If not you can hotswap, if you'd perfer not to and you still have the eepron of hdd you can use xboxhdm 1.9 to fix it by putting slayers SYSTEM/ALL/C into the C: and then delete everything in E: except for UDATA, and TDATA. Lock the drive back up and then put it in the xbox, when complete reinstall softmod. There might be easier ways but im like a noob still. sorry if it doesnt help.
