You can't ftp because you have no dash. Evox supplies the FTP server. LOoad your gamesave up again to egt ftp access and fix it.

If you foolishly deleted your save, then its time to hotswap.

. I read a tutorial on hotswapping, and have an extra PC at my house that i could probably use. But, before I try it, is there anyway I can get on Xbox Live with my xbox like this? All I really wanna do is play live.

So I rented King Arthur on DVD a few days ago, and put it in my Xbox to play the Xbox demo. Well lo and behold, it overwrote my xboxdash.xbe with an updated version. Since this is an official disc that can be booted in any xbox, this would be a good "rescue" disc for those that have softmodded their xboxes and accidentally deleted their dash and stuff. So if anybody could help and add to this list, that would be nice. Any games, movies, or anything else that you know of that will automatically update the dash and fix any dash problems will work. I'll start the list.

Depends, is your softmod still intact (even with failing dash this is possible) like can you still play games or dvd's? As if so you might want to try an auto installer or a game with exploit to fix your Dash.

It will play games, and loads DVD's. but it just stays at the X screen for DVD's. EDIT: I just rented King Arthur, and a Error 21 showed up? Will an XBOX Magazine Demo Disc re-install the dash?

But you still are able to play/boot games? If so then there is a possebility that you will be able to fix your dash. But for that to be possible you need to boot an auto installer (example AID 2.0) so you can ftp to your xbox. Or if you can load a game you can run the game exploit again IF it is still on ou hard drive. Reinstall ur dash or fix it.

Try having a LIVE enabled game update your dash, this can work sometimes.

I modded it myself with splinter cell, and yes the saves were deleted

Get an auto-installer, and put it on an RW. Pop the RW in and instead of a dashboard, you should see a options screen. You should be able to do it from there.

Yes Slayers or AID as long as it boots and from there on you might be able to fix your problem.
