This does work, I use it frequently and I've never had problems with it. Let's start fresh. Go into Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. Use it to uninstall Action Replay, MaxDrive, and any XBCD software. Then, go into Device Manager and check under the Human Interface Devices. Make sure that XBCD Xbox Gamepad is not in the list. Now that everything's uninstalled, let's start over brand new as if you were doing it for the first time.
1.
Download XBCD v1.07 and Install2. Plug in your controller and with each New Hardware Wizard, install automatically and hit Yes on the XP Logo Test warning.
3. Your Xbox controller should now be working in your computer. If it isn't, do not continue until it is.
4.
Download the Latest Action Replay Software and Install5. Plug your memory card into the FIRST slot and wait for the new hardware wizard to come up. It should be titled Action Replay MAXDrive. Install automatically.
Transfer the udata.zip saves to the memory card. This should work, it does for me. I use the same XBCD and this same Action Replay version and have never had problems. I use an official MS memory unit and I never had to modify any .ini files or anything else.
