Yes its right with a modded Xbox you can copy your Games to hd and play it form there.
You can install apps that you can run all video files (avi ...) from hd, netstream, CD or DVD.
You got ftp conection to your Xbox so you can make everything you want with it.

So and now to your Problem.

Do you choose a Dash (evox,Unleash) as in the Tutorial described?
When you boot your xbox with the powerbutton which dash boots?
The original M$?
Do you got Ftp to your xbox?
You must save your eeprom to pc first.

What happens if you boot on with the DVd open?

NOOOO!  You used SID!  Use the Restore MS Backup option to revert back to stock.  NOW.

Next, use Krayzie's Ndure installer to softmod you xbox.  Follow the on-screen prompts.    Then FTP your EEProm.bin (E:\backups\eeprom\backup\eeprom.bin) onto your PC.  You need to keep that incase you do something wrong in the future.

You can now play backups, whatever. etc.  No need for PBL, as Ndure uses NKPatcher to patch the kernel in memory.

SID is just a very bad installer, which uses out of date methods and is very buggy.

1) Press the Restore MS Backup option in the SID save.  This reverts your xbox back to stock.

2) Get Krayzie's Ndure installer.

3) Put Krayzie's Installer on the same way you did with SID.

4) Load it up, just like SID, (Unless you used the 007 version.  See the ReadMe for more info on that) then follow the on-screen prompts to install the softmod.

5) Have fun.  It does everything you want.

See the link to Usual Places in my sig for obtaining the save, etc.  That should be all you need to know.  And READ THE README!

Yup.  There are 2 saves required though (should come in one package).  And make sure you get the right version (PAL or NTSC) also.

Choose the first option in the installer, then once in the evox menu, select the backup option.

biggrin.gif), and possibly.  It depends on whether your dvd drive reads CD-Rs or not.  You just have to find a media that works for you.

Ok sweet....and it looks like I'm going to have to get a different brand of media...I'm using a cheap brand called 'fotis' or something and I'm not getting very good results.

Should I try Verbatim or RiTek?
