I have used Splinter cell many of times on 1.6 Boxes, and it works just fine. The only thing that looks wrong is when it goes to actualy installing it, the screen looks wrong (using ltools 1.75). but does work as long as you use the M8 bios. Just wait to the eject leds to flash green.

But when I tried to load the Splinter Cell save, I got an error 21 message.

Are you using an AR card? Those corrupt saves. Try a different save, Krayzie's Ndure is recommended.

your ar mem card is probably corrupting the save

Alright, we first tried the Ndure saves that he FTPed to his Xbox and we got an error 21

Then we tried the Ultimate Softmod and it just gave us a black screen.

What's going on here?

did you copy the saves to the hd first and did you use the right version (ntsc or pal)

couple of things you need to make sure off:

there must be NO other saves or data from that game on the hd priort to copying over the exploited save

you MUST copy over the exploited save to the hd

you MUST use the right version for your console (this is only the case with splinter cell)

You must copy over BOTH saves (only the case with splinter cell)

If it still doen't work then either you got a very crappy mem card or you are just not able to follow simple instructions.
