First off, don't use SID.  Use Krayzie's Ndure installer.

1)Yes

5)Load the gamesave.  Select restore option.
6)The save won't load.
7)Ndure will boot the save if your dash gets fucked.  You can repair any damage from there.

Sorry to Contradict but this is how I modded mine so:

1. From what I read no.  But I didnt even try I just used the reg one.
2. I used action replay. I Transferred the SID files to my mem card through Action Replay and coipied them to the HD then ran splinter cell and loaded the Linux Profile.

5. Never Tried Refer to above response.
6. Again don't know
7. As far as I know thats only if you try to go on Xbox Live, because I have copied numerous games with the dashupdate.xbe file and had nothing happen.

if you know how to get the save on the hd all you have to do is read the readme. the whole prcess is self explaining.

there's a copy to hd option inside unleashx. also there is a restore function in the installer. and last but not least if you want any apps and don't like to ftp why don't you use any of the app installer discs like slayers or aid?
