Slayers Final.

Someone told me that to fix the problem, I can use the UXE hack, is this true? Also, could this be a problem with the HD or Xbox itself?

Slayers 2.6?

Older versions have stock MS dashboards that don't work with the latest retail Bioses.

I used 2.6, which I believe is the latest, yet I have no success. DO you think the Exploit might fix this problem?

Error 16 is a Dashboard error.

If you have the latest slayers and you've completely wiped the C:\ drive and replaced it with the files from System\C on Slayers, then your problem may be on the E:\ drive.

You should have E:\CACHE, E:\UDATA, E:\TDATA on this drive, I think Slayers has a blank E Drive set of files, rename your existing directories on E:\ and copy in the fresh ones from Slayers.

Once you've done all this you should be back to stock and it should boot the MSDash without errors, if you have an exploitable Game (007/MS/SC), then take the correct Krayzie nDure set of files an put them into E:\UDATA\, if not then look for the nDure for PC setup to make a set of C: & E: drive files to get the exploit running.

Just make sure you can get back to stock first, or the installers/exploits will run into problems.

Should there  be anything in those folders?

EDIT: Also I forgot to mention, the "MS" sign at the bottom never shows up. Is that bad?

EDIT: Sorry double post, can't find edit button.

Anyways I gave up swaping. I was wondering, is this problem solvable through a modchip? Because I am planning for one..but I want to know if it can be solved with it...

Edit: This is my third post and I am so sorry, I have found the problem and just have a question. After answered this can be locked and used as an archive for future people having similar problems.

Anyways, after extensive testing, I have found out it is the HD itself. Its dead. Now the computer won't even find it. But I don't mind. I always wanted a bigger HD anyways. Anyways all I need to know is I just have to know is any HD will work as long as it supports ATA Locking right?

Once again I am very sorry for the triple post...but I just one to let Neilor and misterhoangdai know the problem has been found out. Anyways All I need is an HD that supports ATA Locking right? Going to Best Buy soon and I just need to know.

yeah. just make sure its ata and lockable. you have your eeprom/hdd key right? it won't work unless it's locked to your xbox. either that or you're going to have to get a chip to work an unlocked HDD.

i highly recommend checking out newegg.com or outpost for cheap harddrives.

biggrin.gif , when you get sorted you should try unlocking the original and formatting in your PC, it might come in handy for extra storage (I have two stock drives in one of my PC's smile.gif )
