I'm pretty sure the only way to do that is with a modchip. You should be able to stick in a chip and boot with that and then lock the drive (it will be able to read the eeprom then.) Then you can take the chip out (use solderless if you plan on removing it.) Or just leave the chip in.

Always backup the EEPROM IMMEDIATELY when softmodding!! It's the most important step in softmodding.

If it was unlocked with XBOXHDM, you should be able to lock it with the master passwords of either XBOXSCENE or TEAMASSEMBLY.  Check the official thread.

The above statement won't work. The xbox won't use those passwords to unlock the drive. The xbox will only use the pass generated by the EEPROM and drive info to unlock the drive.

You don't need the EEProm for XBHDM.  It can use a key from a text file, or you can input it manually.  But I guess it is unlikely that anyone would do it that way.

Read the initial post. No one ever said anything about using XBOXHDM. And XBOXHDM can't do anything to help them now. They didn't use it to lock the drive so XBOXHDM is  useless. Straight forward enough for ya?

They need a mod chip in THAT box. Only then can they get the EEPROM to relock the drive. As simple as that. No other way.

I guess you could also use an EEPROM reader/writer that doesn't require the xbox to actually work. (Or so I believe from what I just read.)
