Yes, that should be fixable, as long as you still got the savegame on your drive.

download slayers, get the C files from there. Load your savegame exploit, and FTP into your box. Delete everything of C: and put the C files onto there. After that, you can try to reinstall the mod.

That MIGHT work. I can't tell you for sure, though. Just borrow one from your buddy.

uxe works on all kernals, and dashboard versions are not needed anymore, except for ndure, which uses the newest dash anyways.

If running a LIVE! game doesn't work, you could also peek into hotswapping.

Yes, Xboxes can be opened with a normal screwdriver. No, you don't need your EEPROM for hotswapping. However, I don't know much about hotswapping, so I don't know if this can be done with your error. Read DaddyJ's sig.

Either the wrong fonts for your box, if used generic, try specific or vise-versa.

Hotswapping doesnt need an eeprom, or hd unlock code.

You can hotswaping into anything, expect a corrupted eeprom, or errors 5,6,7,8.

A decent set of allen wrenches will also work for opening it. I haven't managed to get my DVD drive out with them, but everything up to and including the hard drive will work.
