Several Soft Modding Questions....
« on: July 22, 2005, 01:31:00 PM »

Mkay I read up on everything that I was able to about soft modding here, Tutorials, FAQ's, etc and I just want to make sure I got everything right before I Softmod, and several "little" details that I am not clear on.

I have an X-box, and I do not have a memory card, so I read up on the hotswap to move files onto the x-box.

Kernal: 4817
Dash:   5960

My goal is to Have a soft modded X-box running EvolutionX and AvaLaunch with UXE and I hear the Bios Loader can do that right?

In order for me to get a this all on the X-box, I will need a game save exploit to backup eeprom and hard drive, I will be using a 007: AUF exploit. I would also need Xboxhdm for that

Q: Where do I place the Exploits on Xboxhdm iso, and what do I do to copy it over to the save game section of my X-box drive which I belive is "E:\" right?

Once I activate this save exploit, I will be able to FTP into the Xbox and retrive  the EEPROM and Hard Drive backup which Evox has so kindly made.

Then on to the the hardcore soft modding...

I place the EEPROM in "xboxhdm\linux\eeprom"

Q: where do I put the UXE?

After that I follow these right?

Ah man... I am starting to confuse myself now.... This is alot to take in.
So many methods to soft mod, and only one is right for me... :(
