Help Ftp Wont Work And I Need Eeprom

ok ive followed a couple of tutorials, configured my router to port 21, used a cross ovr cable and the xbox cant b found
i used smart ftp

if the pc & xbox on inside the network, you dont need to route the port,
if you xbox is hooked to the router, you dont need a crossover cable, a regular passthru will work,
turn PASV mode off in your flt client options.

if your using a crossover cable to FTP, your Xbox and PC have to be connected by the cable without a router.

(PC---cable---Xbox)

if your having trouble connecting, the first three sets of numbers must be the same, and the last set must be different. For example:

PC IP: 192.168.0.y (any number from 1 to 233)
XBOX IP:192.168.0.x (any number from 1 to 233, but cannot be the same as your PC's IP adress)

or

PC IP: 24.30.2.y (any number from 1 to 233)
XBOX IP: 24.30.2.x (any number from 1 to 233, but cannot be the same as your PC's IP adress)

Also, the dashboard your using must be set to use a "static" IP


if you want to use a router get 2 "patch" or regular cables and connect your Xbox and your PC to the router

(PC ---cable---router----cable----Xbox)

the dashboard your using must be set to use "Automatic" or "DCHP" network.
