Here's the synopsis to my recent problem: I'm using a softmod. I've done it to at least two other xboxes. They worked pretty fine. However, I have a copy of the SlaYer's disk and that Evo-X HDD disk. I followed these instructions on how to make the disk:

Burn the iso file using Nero:
Load Nero open New Evo-X.iso & burn using settings below.
Disc at Once.
Write.
Finalize Burn.
4x Speed.

Once burnt place in xbox dvd drive & following onscreen instructions, if the disc does not load right away turn the xbox off then on with the disc still in the drive.

I did everything it said here. The first time I burned the Evo-X HDD cd, I tried it on my XBOX and the readme file was correct about if the disk was not loading right away turn the xbox off then on with the disk still in the drive. It worked afterwards. I also tried using the same burned CD on my friend's xbox and it still works. I didn't do anything after this... I just simply stored the CD for safekeeping, until I found SlaYers. Well, right now that I'm trying to use these disks (not going to reformat my harddrive yet but just checking if it works still) the Evo-X and SlaYer's disk isn't loading up. It's just stuck at the Evo-X dashboard saying that there's "No Disc" in the tray.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong with the burning or is there just something wrong with the box? Is there any way I can fix this? Thanks a lot in advanced!

Hmm... it seems that they're still not working. Would I need a chipped box for the disks to work? Because I didn't need a chipped box when I used the cds on my friends softmodded box. Or would this depend on the xbox versions and dvd drives?

Slayer's doesn't support Softmods.

Burn it on a CDRW or DVD. Not all (read : most of 'em won't) DVD drives read CDR's.

Well, OK, slayers yeah, but the problem still is if I can be able to play burned CDRS because my friends xbox can. And I even softmodded it for him. I've tried the CDRWs and they still do the same thing.

Is the slayers disk what i need? to restore my xbox to factory condition?
