My xbox v1.0 harddrive is down It won't load the dashboard but still will play orginal games. i didn't save my password to unlock my harddrive. I was told to use xboxhdm. I guess my question is How does this program get my password or unlock my harddrive when I don't know the password. I was reading and I saw that it can calculate my unlock key if I put eeprom.bin from evox or configmagic on the my xboxhdm cd in a eepromfolder. Well i have configmagic but it has 4 eeprom.bin files I don't know which to use. Please help me understand this situation. I know I am so close to fixing my hd.

So boot your exploitable game,run linux,repair thru file explorer / ftp.

To unlock your hard drive, you need the EEPROM.bin backed-up from your xbox. Not some random EEPROM.bin that came with configmagic.
