Eeprom File Type.. Need Help

Ok, long story short...

I was adding a bigger HDD to my xbox and the tools I was using made a copy of the eeprom file from my xbox. But the eeprom file is showing up as a "AVG.Update" file. AVG is my antivirus program and I have no idea why these files are comming up as AVG files?

What type of files are xbox eeproms supposed to be, and is there a way for me to make my pc identifie them correctly? I uninstalled AVG and tried again but it's still the same.

The file should be eeprom.bin.  No idea why your antivirus is interferring.  You should be able to just FTP into your xbox, find the eeprom.bin file and FTP straight to your PC.
