Battlefield2 Demo W/ Cold Boot
« on: July 14, 2005, 06:15:00 PM »

I have this Battlefield 2 demo, which is a live only demo, I hear it is insane, 32 man servers, tank's, bombs, explosions, anyway's I cold boot my softmoded xbox, run the disc, navigate to the demo, it starts to load and I get a green screen with an error 21. I am able to get on Live with all my other games, so I start thinking, which is usally trouble.

I know I can remove the softmod in order to play the game, however I am curious why this is happening. Is the game trying to update any bios or live settings?

it could be that the game is trying to access the msdash which is kinda hard when your xbox automatically boots to your alternate dash which in return gives you the error 21. that COULD be why. im not saying thats the reason

the disc is prolly looking for its fonts in c:\fonts, hence error 21 or as stated above also.

Techincally Ndure should allow the game to play.

It's probably like misterhoangdai said, more specifically, it is probably trying to access the original fonts.
