I Need Help

Ok so I tried to install a softmod onto my version 1.1 xbox.  I use the mechassault softmod exploit and had everything running perfectly find.  I had evox installed.  Then I turn off my xbox and turn it back on and then it just hangs on the screen with the X and it says MS underneath.  Sometimes it loads games sometimes it doesn't.  I need somehow to get the MS Dashboard to come back up.  Is there anyway to do this or is my xbox permantly messed up?

Check out this faq and go down a few questions to the part on hanging loading screens.

Try also clearing your cache out. It may help with the games loading properly. If you want to go to the msdash then select that option from Evox's main menu.

the thing is i don't have any dashboard at all.  it suddenly disappeared.  i turn on the xbox with no game inside and it hangs up on that screen.  no dashboard no nothing.

you can gain FTP access by coldbooting an exploitable game and loading the exploit. now go and do what the tutorial tells you to do after you've gained FTP access

well my xbox doesn't load up games anymore now.  i have no idea what to do.  it just sticks on that screen.  any help would be appreciated.

You'll have to hotswap, there's a tut in my sig.

Replace your dashboard with a fresh copy of the MS dash from either backup or Slayers, then mod again.

Make sure you use 'kayzie's installer' this time.

well i don't know anything about hotswapping.  i read the tutorial and i'm pretty lost.  i also don't feel comfortable doing it.  is it possible to send my harddrive to someone for them to fix it and have them send it back?  i'm so confused.
