When Soft Mods Go Wrong
« on: July 12, 2005, 06:17:00 AM »

I Had A Soft Mod and i was able to play games and all that and i didnt have a dashboard, evox, m$ and unleash x were all gone, so i read about the slayers uninstallter so i ran that. I had the m$ Files all working perfectly and then i installed my soft mod the right way again. I unlocked my hard drive because i planned on saving games on to it and i now get error messages everytime i start my xbox up. it is error 5 i think. i used the splinter cell exploit to install the soft mod if thats helps. All My Files Are Still On my Xbox but i cant FtP and i cant run games so i cant lock my hard drive with the soft mod. if any one could help me with this i would really appreciate it.

Sounds like you will have to hotswap the HDD to fix this problem.

No real need to unlock your hard drive.

You wouldn't be able to hot swap with a laptop, you need a full IDE controller.
