Wait...Did I do something wrong? Here is exactly what I did.... I put the 07 save on action replay, put the action replay in my xbox and copied over the file. Then I put in 007 and clicked launch linux....then it showed this  http://img253.** Pic.../preview0lv.jpg    Once that came up I backed up my Hardrive C file and then clicked softmod. Then I clicked install evoX,it installed it and when I restarted and the tray was open it went back to the blue screen, but when I just pressed power it would go to another dash that wasn't blue and said evox dash and at the top it like had a girl and it said xbox-head-quarters. well I went to my harddrive saves to delete the softmod file and when I restarted it gave me the error 21 code. also on the blue evox dash it had a ftp server and stuff and it said patch M$ dash....if I get this to work again and I click patch will it put the MS dash and then I will still have evoX? Will it erase my c backup?

Ok my friend told me that I wasn't suppose to delete the softmod save file and that there were two dashboards because one is the softmod menu(when u press eject) and one is the dashboard(when u press power)......is this correct?

xboxhdm doesn't screw up hard drives. hotswapping has a chance of screwing up the hard drive. i've made many mistakes dinking around with my xbox and managed to fix it hotswapping. it also taught me that having an eeprom is far more handy so you don't have to hotswap and have that little chance of messing up your HDD

edit:

it doesn't matter if you delete the exploit save file. that just makes it so you aren't able to load the exploit again through a game. just hope you never make a mistake and have to load that exploit. if you delete the actual dashboard files. then you have a problem.
and btw, what you're talking about is called dual boot or something along those lines and has nothing to do with this

Ok I didn't do dual boot, I installed evoX only. The softmod installer which is blue happened when I booted the game and then the save file. Then when I took the game out when I press eject it goes to the blue softmod menu to FTP and to backup ur games and stuff. Then if u just press power then it goes to the evoX menu and u can play ur backed up games and stuff,so basically when u press eject it boots the softmod menu that is on the harddrive, when I deleted the 007 gamesave softmod the blue menu was no longer there and when I restarted there is no dash....So did I really dual boot or what? I followed the instrcutions EXACTLY. Also in the softmod menu it says patch MS dash, someone told me if u click that then ull have the MS dash along with evoX....is this true? Anyone that has done the softmod installer deluxe please confirm all this wrong or right.

7. Shut down your Xbox, then restart it and remove the disc. If this has worked like it
should, you should see your choice of dashboard (either EvoX or UnleashX). Please note
if you boot your Xbox and leave the DVD Tray open it will take you back to the menu
   where you installed your Softmod.....................

Ok I will do XBOXhdm and read the tutorial and am a little confused,I think you have to hotswap, this means keep you xbox plugged into the power and then when it unlocks you plug it to your PC,which I don't want to do.

if you're not gonna plug your xbox hd into your computer then stop posting here asking for help because hotswapping is the only damn way. get it through your head. it seems like you're trying to avoid anything that's got to do taking apart the xbox like theres another alternative to fixing your xbox
