Ok guys I used the Softmod Installer. I worked successfully but I think i have a problem. I deleted everything off the E drive and i mean the whole drive. But, on the C drive I have backup folder with a Ms folder inside and I think that is the dashboard. IS there anyway I can get this back. I can't access the dashboard when I don't put a game in my xbox it says my xbox needs service. Can someone please help me?

I'm guessing I will need to use xboxhdm & a hot-swap method to repair, but I also have a 40GB HDD I'd like to install and was wondering if I could just set that one up from scratch?

These go through hot-swap method. I would strongly suggest reading the entire post/watching the entire video before you proceed. Download the appropriate programs before you begin and good luck.
