Uxe Auto Installer
« on: April 16, 2005, 04:31:00 PM »

Whenever I try to put the game save in the english folder of UXE auto installer (SC) into AR,

It says it is not a valid game save.

But when i use the one not in the english folder, it will let me. I obiously need it in english.

I have about 7 different exploits, but the only one that it will accept is Softmod Installer Deluxe 2.0.

Reading so much stuff on this forum has me very confused. If I do use the Softmod Installer Deluxe 2.0, will this be prone to the clock loop etc...?

I tried transferring UXE, UDE, UDE2 and a bunch of others, but it says "not a valid game save".

I think the UXE is the best one right now, so if thats true I would like that.

I plan on unplugging it a lot, hence my fear of the loop.

Thanks a lot!

the gamesaves are in the "wrong" format to be used with the AR software (whoever wrote that piece of ... nevermind....)

to make them work look here:
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/saves-ar-compatible.php

BTW, clock loops only occured on pre-UDE/UXE mods

Thanks a lot for the link.

I deleted the readmes and such, but I am still a little confused.

I want to install the exploit from this location:

UXE Auto Installer 007-MA-SC\English\SC

inside that folder, there is UDATA and 5553000c folders. In the link you posted, it says there should only be UDATA. What should I do with 5553000c? it has to be important. These are the files in that folder (5553000c):

TitleMeta.xbx
SaveImage.xbx
TitleImage.xbx

a folder named 8D5BCE250B35 with:

Profile
SaveMeta.xbx

In the UDATA folder, there is:

folder 21585554 with:

TitleMeta.xbx
TitleImage.xbx

folder 000000000000 with:

SaveMeta.xbx
SaveImage.xbx
Install.xbe
datelinfo.xbx
config.xml
xboxdash.rar
skins folder
61.06.zip
61.67.zip
71.06.zip
71.67.zip
backup.zip
dashboard.zip

So just a recap, when I can transfer this to my mem. card, all I do is put in splinter cell, go to load mission, Linux, and it will freeze, and boot to UnleashX. Then I will ftp to my box with an ethernet from my computer to my router, and from my router to my XBOX. Then I'll backup my C to my computer via ftp. Then I'll ftp various programs to my XBOX, such as linux, XBMC, emulators etc...

Thanks a bunch!!

Copy the '5553000c' folder to your memcard, go to ms dashboard and copy the savegame to your HD. Start the exploit (with the hd savegame). You should be dropped in the unleashx menu after some time.

So what do I do with the UDATA folder, if all I am putting on the card is the 5553000c?

On your E: drive the gamesaves are all in UDATA folder like 'UDATA/514000d'. Don't know why they included that parent folder aswell. On memorycards there is no UDATA.
There shouldn't be any other data in the udata folder (of the exploit) beside 5553000c so it doesnt matter.

Edit: wait.. the 5553000c is IN the UDATA folder, right?
Don't know how this is meant to be done but the usual way is to copy the folders inside udata to your memcard.

No...

In the folder root, there is UDATA, and 5553000c.

I managed to compress the UDATA to UDATA.zip, and it loaded to AR. Should I try to put the 5553000c folder inside of UDATA?

I tried burrying the 5553000c folder inside of the UDATA, after about 3 folders inside

UDATA\21585554\000000000000\5553000c

and zipped it up, and it took to AR.

I just want to make sure this will work, and won't screw up my box.

Thanks

Then why would they make a totally useless folder?

if I try zipping the UDATA, and loading it in SC, and it doesn't work, is there a way to fix it, or am I totally screwed?

Just want to check before I do something stupid.

I tried just uploading the UDATA.zip to the mem card. When I booted to MS dash, I went to memory, mem card 2, and it came up with linux installer, with a swirlee pattern as the logo. But the only option was to delete it. How do I copy it to the HDD? There is plenty of free space.

I dont think you can screw your box with that. Just the exploit wont work.
I would start by zipping (original) udata only and transfer it to your box. If this doesnt work try something else. But including the 55 folder into UDATA is unlikely (they could do it already).

Linux Installer? Are you sure your box is "clean"? The msdashboard provides copying savegames from/to memcards. Just select the memcard, the savegame and then the subentry (icon). A copy selection window should popup.

Edit: Dont know what you mean by 'Linux Installer' but the 'swirlee pattern' is right. You have to select this 'pattern' to get to copy screen. The icon (pattern) is a separate selection inside the savegame.

something isn't working out here - i'll go through the steps one by one:

1) download krayzie's uxe installer for the exploitable game you have from IRC (trust me, it's better than the one you wanted to use)

2) unpack the folder. you probably get a folder with an UDATA folder inside. in the UDATA folder there is one folder with numbers. if you got the splinter cell savegame, there are two folders with numbers.

3) for 007 or MechAssault, just zip the UDATA folder with the number folder inside. you then have a UDATA.ZIP that is action replay compatible. for Splinter Cell you need to make 2 zipfiles, one for each number folder. go into the UDATA folder and move th3 5xxxxxx folder to another location. then zip the UDATA folder (which now only has the 2xxxxxx folder inside) and name it SC1.zip (e.g.). then delete the 2xxxxxx folder, put back the 5xxxxxxx folder and zip again, name SC2.zip

4) put the zipfile(s) onto the Action replay card. if it's empty, it should fit. plug the card into the xbox controller.

5) start your xbox, go into msdash and delete any savegames of your exploitable game, should there be any. so if you use 007, delete all 007 savegames on your box.

6) go from XBOX hrddisk to your AR card. go to the gamesave(s), move RIGHT on the D-pad to access copy function and copy the game to your xbox.

7) reboot with the game in the drive and load the exploit. stick.to.the.readme.file.and.onscreen.instructions.by.the.letter.!

I really need this done today, and since I am banned from xbins, I can't use the file you told me to get.

however, these are the files that I have;

GentooX
GentooX WineX Installer
Softmod Installer Deluxe 2.0
Splinter Cell With Evox Raincoat
UDE
UDE2
UXE Auto Installer

I have the UDATA folder (from UXE auto installer) zipped and on my hard drive. Should I try to run it?
What will happen if it doesn't work?
