Unfreeze Hard Drive?

I'm sorry for the useless topic above, but I wasn't sure if the system logs in automatically. As it does, Í will now type my problem.

I also own a WD drive but it's an original 8 gb drive from my box.Mine is also frozen and I think due to my own fault. I unlocked the drive, and then recoverred my drive from scratch with hddm. everything went teriffic. So I unhooked my drive to bring it back home, cause my pc already died a week before that, and I had to do the whole thing at my parents. when I got home, my disc whas frozen. I know this cause I checked on another pc from my neighbour. My guess is this 100 % my fault. cause I didn't lock it after recovering. So actually my question is much alike the opening of this topic. I will try to hook it on after my detectionscreen. and if it works I'll be a happy guy. howeverI've got another question. First time my box whas modded, it whas done by someone else for an ok price. however I did not get a backup of my original configuration before modding. Now that i've got the knowledge to mod myself I would like to return it to it's original config, and remod it myself. So that I know from the beginning what happened. a third where I came up with is that although I have a european box, once I deinstall my mod, it come back in the microsft dash, not reading my original discs cause it's the wrong region code. Why and more importanly how, did he change the region in my box?

hope some of you can help me out with a couple of questions.

I'm sorry this post grew to be enormous. I like to write as I talk. perhaps a bad habit.

Try turning off automatic detection of your hdd's in the bios.  That should allow u to start up the hdd without the bios freezing it.

As for unmodding to original state, you can get the original c files from slayers and i would just copy games saves for an installer like krayzies to e and remod it that way.
