Usb Memory Stick Cable Problem

Like so many others I'm crap at making cables, and I unfortunately live in the Uk so can't get hold of the converter from M$.

Anyway, I got an extension cable and cut the need part off, and a usb extension cable and removed the female, I assumed the wires would be easy but it's not. I've got red on both, black on both and green on both, however I have a white on the USB and a blue and orange on the xbox which is confusing the hell out of me. Any tips?
