forget about transfering. the save should still be there right. Just put in your game and reboot the xbox and let the game boot the save. then log in through ftp (192.168.0.200) and look what files are on the C drive.

if you didn't unplug it the games should still load. If they don't you should have your eeprom backup you obviously copied to your pc. So you could restore your hd.

nice read, but how do u soft mod? without a chip.

i have all the software i need. i have a older xbox with a chip and dashboard
that works fine,

i have a 1.6 that im tryin to soft mod with out installing a chip..

any help would be great

I used the 007 gamesave expliot with xboxhdm1.9 and then I updated to the latest metoo bios via ftp and the 250Gig drive works with everything no problems no nothing!

yep, if you have a newer xbox, you will get that funky screen. just let it be, the exploit is still working. And also, dont worry, yes it does take a long time to finish, you will know its done by the led around the eject button.

Softmodding is easer then ever, expecially with the newest breed of installers out there. just put the gamesave on the xbox, load the game, run the gamesave, and then follow the instructions that the softmod gives you.
