forget softmod deluxe. its outdated. use ltool's UXE or blackwar's installer.

I agree. Use an ltools UDE installer. much more reliable. Also I've heard others say mech assault exploits are just plain sketchy. Try Splinter Cell, original not Platinum. I modded a few xbox using that exploit and it was perfect.

If that xbox has been onlive with MA, then it (the xbox) has been patched with the download content. Delete your MA content from the xbox, and the exploit will work...

how is softmod deluxe 2.0 outdated? because it doesn't use the virtual C? this is what i use and seems ok to me. although i haven't tried it on 1.6 yet.. is there anything else wrong with this installer other than no virtual C ?

from my personal experience the MA and the SC were far more easy then the 007 one. I had no troubles whatsoever using MA. I had to mess with 007's setup since it turns out 007 doesn't wanna load PBL for some strange reason.

my installer is definately more n00b proof than the SID stuff. you'll be guided through the procces with simple steps and very little choices have to be made. And yes it comes with msdash support. If the xbox boots retail before installing that is.

OMG GUYS I INSTALLED THE KERRAZIY SC LINUX PROGRAM AND WHEN I ISNTALLED THE SOFTMOD I CLICKED ON EVO AND IT LOADED UP UNLEASH AND WHEN I UNINSTALLED THE SOFTMOD AND NOW IT WONT LET ME RUN THE MS DAHSBOARD

you think using caps is gonna get you anywhere? It would also help if you provided some details on what you did and what's happening now. You could also look at the C directory if you ftp in from the gamesave exploit.

It is not possible that unleash x is your dashboard when you select evox.
Coldboot the gamedvd and reload the save to get ftp acces. then look what files are on the C drive. what version did you use?
