hi ive been trying to install linux on my xbox (05-20-2003) using a gamesave and a pal version of MechAssault (coz i live in ireland). i used the 'USB MAX drive' to install the gamesaves onto my xbox. the gamesave i used was 'MechAssaul_InstallLin.zip' from www.xbox-linux.org. i also put on emergency linux and restore dashboard.
when i tried to install linux from mechassault, a message came up saying 'insatllation failed. try to use dashboard restore'.
i searched all over the forums but havn't seen any answers. ive seen plenty of similar situations but im not sure what to do.
if this cant be resolved is there any other way to install linux without having to get a chip coz im not really sure which one to get.
any help would be great thanks.
