Topic: Error 21 With Sc Exploit (Read 54 times)

A friend of mine wanted a no-modchip option to mod his box, so i suggested doing a softmod. I read up on softmodding, and it seemed to make sense.

I got Softmod Installer Deluxe v2.0, put the relevent stuff onto a mem card(the base part of it and the PAL part)

I deleted his splinter cell saves, then transferred the installer.

However, selecting "checkpoints" gives me an error 21.

His dash is the latest (5260) if thats relevent.

The Splinter cell i am using is one of the originals(PAL), not the platinum version.

I don't own Agent under fire or Mechassault, so getting another exploit game would be as a last resort.

Any help would be appreciated

After educating myself quite a bit, I decided to give softmodding a try. I picked up a copy of the original Splinter Cell today and I tried both Softmod Installer Deluxe v2.0 and ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC. I get the same result with both installers. I copied both saves to the Xbox harddrive and there are no other SC gamesaves on the HD.

My dash and kernel are 5690 and 5101.
Using Action Replay and Splinter Cell gamesaves.

My Xbox is US NTSC but I am not sure which version Xbox I have. From extensive reading, I think I have a 1.6 but I am not sure.

I am using a High-definition pack for audio and video. (could this be my problem?)

I could really use some insight on this. Its driving me krazy!! If possible, I would like to do it with the equipment that I currently have available.

they do in the linux part of the install, but not error 21
did you delete the SC folder first, not just the gamesaves?
AR screwed up the gamesave?

I know there are some people that have used the action replay with success. I would really like to figure it out. Any tricks I can try? Maybe formatting the card somehow or confirming the data on the card is exactly as it should be?
